The Vision

A community where children of the world, who have been victimized by neglect, abuse, or other misfortunes will be able to have a safe haven to thrive and be loved. Our commitment is to rebuild lives, one child at a time, to stop the severe adversities and cycle of homelessness for children.

The site for It Takes a Village, the International Children’s Center of Boulder

To provide residential parents for each of the twenty four (24) village homes of six to eight children, who will be constant, supportive, and nurturing during the children’s entire stay at the Village. The vision is that the relationship between the parents and the children will be of mutual respect and supportive emotional ties that emulate a positive family model, thus assuring that the children can move into adult life with established skills for long term relationships. Continuity is the key.
