Our Mission
The mission of It Takes a Village Boulder, an intergenerational community of Boulder, Colorado, is to provide an innovative and alternative community where loving family bonds are created in a nurturing environment where foster care children generally not otherwise adoptable due to age, disability or other conditions, are raised by adoptive parents and a community of loving older adult guardians. At It Takes a Village Boulder, our children will know the meaning of stability, security and consistency; our adoptive parents are supported; older adult residents regain a sense of purpose, meaning and well-being, and our children gain the tools to overcome trauma to become happy, empowered adults.
